And (not quite) finally.....France.....in English!!
Mon Dieu! France has announced its entry for Belgrade and, for the first time ever, the song will be entirely in English.
For the past few weeks rumours have been circulating about a really big name representing France, with Tina Arena being frequently mentioned. However the name in the frame is Sebastien Tellier, who will sing the electropop tune Divine.
Apparently Sebastien's massive in France, and has worked with the likes of Daft Punk and Air, but whether that will make any difference in Euroland remains to be seen.
Eurovision Express was hoping for a classic big ballad, but France is determined to enter something contemporary and relevant to its music scene. Fair enough, and good luck to Sebastien, although we're not totally convinced that the rest of Europe will really 'get' this song.
Divine can be heard here at Sebastien's myspace page.

As a french fan of ESC, I'm very proud that this song will fly the flag for France. It's a new side of french music that europe discover with this entry.
