Iceland outshines Sweden?

First day of the rehearsals for the 2nd semi-final, and first up were Iceland. Euroband put in a very polished and powerful performance and certainly woke evreyone up this morning.

Initially we were not sure that this would qualify in a very competitive semi-final, but after today's perfromance, this must now have a very strong qualifying chance.

And then came fan-favourite Sweden.

Charlotte Perrelli performed her song Hero very well. There were no surprises and she did "exactly what it says on the tin". However, coming immediately after a very good Icelandic pop song, could she perhaps be forgotten? Could Sweden cause a huge upset by not qualifying? We have a terrible feeling this might happen. Let's hope we're wrong!

No way, Sweden has been, is, and always will be one of the fans fave. Charlotte was indeed perfect, flawless... she looked like a real diva, and obviously wasn't dressed for the night yet. None of the songs of this semi will outshine her, not even Ani Lorak (whose rehearsal did look a little disappointing too, at least for me, I hope she polishes it).

But back to Charlotte, I'm completely sure she won't be forgotten, she will make it to the final, and with a mildly good draw, she can take the whole thing back to Stockholm
