Channel hopping for Wogan?
BBC Eurovision commentator Terry Wogan is reportedly on the verge of signing a deal to front a new quiz show for ITV. The channel is said to be considering three possible programmes to lure the veteran broadcaster away from the BBC.
An ITV source told UK newspaper The Sun : “ITV are desperate to get Terry on board and he is keen."
The new show would see Wogan go up against Paul O'Grady in his popular 5pm slot on Channel 4.
But before you get too excited/disappointed (delete as appropriate), Terry is not expected to sever his link with the Eurovision Song Contest. Well, not yet anyway!
The deal is not thought to be exclusive, with Wogan still expected to present Children In Need, The Eurovision Song Contest and Points Of View for the BBC, as well as his Radio 2 show.
