Will Russia be lost and forgotten?

Up next is Peter Nalitch and Friends for Russia.  Given the nature of the song it's quite a straightforward, static and simple performance, with Peter up front and the Friends scattered across the stage.

This morning the group are dressed casually with Peter in a warm cardigan: probably a good idea with the rain outside.

Although not one of our favourites, this entry is certainly well sung, and we're happy to see Russia embracing the use of a windmachine towards the end of the song.  Another nice touch is the use of some fake snow falling down of the guys' heads.

I think this will do a lot better than most fans seem to think. Grannies aside (who of course, would have walked away with the whole contest), this was my favourite in the Russian pre-selection. It's pleasantly quirky, well-sung and if the English is in places a little odd, well that's the case with most entries.
I'm not sure about the stage - it's all very blue. Is that just because it's a first rehearsal or is this it? I'm already longing for a dash of geen, yellow or red!
