Another country in with a real chance of winning the Contest this year is Azerbaijan. This may only be their 2nd entry but they've got the hang of this Eurovision game very quickly.
Our main worry with this song was whether AySel and Arash could cut it live. The answer is 'nearly'. Arash, the male vocalist, is actually probably the better of the two singers. What we do like about the performance is the fresh, simple choreography provided by 3 female dancers. And we like that there are no props.
Excitement broke out during the Azerbaijan rehearsal when Vladimir Putin popped in to watch what was going on, and interrupted proceedings to wish AySel and Arash luck. Maybe Azerbaijan will get 10 points from Russia - the 12 are reserved for the UK....sorry!
