Sweden and Armenia

Sweden

Lots of soft focus at the beginning for Malena's song. Again the camera work seems a little stilted. And, unfortuanately we have to say this performance isn't coming across anywhere near as good as the Melodifestivalen one. There is too much use of a white backdrop, which, with Malena in white, sometimes means the screen looks like snow. A muted reaction, and Sweden has to face the possibility of not qualifying for the Final for the very first time. That's a crying shame, cos it's a good song - it's just not working.



Armenia

A visually striking performance, but it's not hitting us quite as much as it did when we were in the auditorium this afternoon. Good, but not stunning reaction. That said, a qualifier for sure.
