Semi Final 1 - 2nd dress rehearsal: opening sequence

Ok, we're live in Moscow. The show starts with a short fairytale which is told using puppets and video screens throughout the auditorium. Quite whether anyone will be able to follow this we're not sure. But heh it means we get to see the fab Sisters from Russia who won the Junior Eurovision in 2006. We won a nice wad of cash on their song, so thanks girls!

The auditorium actually looks pretty full, which bodes well for tomorrow night. It's been disappointing over the past few years whent the semis have not been full.

The presenters - Natalya Vodyanova and Andrey Malakhov - are still rather stilted, and look quite uncomfortable. Natalya is continually checking her cards, stumbling over most of what she has to say, whether it's in English or French. Anyway, we're on to the first song.
