Lithuania, Moldova and Albania

Lithuania seem to be more unhappy than Ireland with the presentation of their song. The video screens show piano keys, but Sasha Son and his team had created a special video to illustrate the themes of the song. However they are not being allowed to use it, which is causing some real friction between the Lithuanian delegation and the host broadcaster. At the moment this song looks unlikely to qualify, despite Sasha being a very good singer.

On to happier things. Nelly from Moldova performs the best song her country has yet sent to Eurovision. It's all very 'ethnic' - with traditional looking costumes, and the likeable boys behind Nelly doing some suitably crazy dancing. This will qualify.

We like the Albanian entry, but we're disappointed with the presentation. Kejsi wears a very short pink dress and she is joined by three dancers, one dressed in a green body suit with a mask, which looks strange. When asked about this 'concept' at the Albanian press conference, it was explained that Kejsi is looking for her prince, but because she is 17 he has no face. That's that cleared up then....

Back soon with Ukraine.
