Belarus had a party at the Eurodom last night, and, of course, Eurovision Express was there. Acts included Koldun working his magic, and this year's Belarussian representative, Petr, who proved he really is one of the best singers in the contest.
A big birthday cake was wheeled on (we're not quite sure why) and then a chap did a vodka mixing display. It was all getting a bit surreal....
But then more of this year's contestants took to the stage. The Toppers kicked things off with a swing version of Shine, and then there was Inga and Anush from Armenia, AySel and Arash from Azerbaijan, Krassimir from Bulgaria, Next Time from FRY Macedonia, Sakia from Greece, Intars from Latvia, Sasha Son from Lithuania, Chiara from Malta, Nelly from Moldova and Svetlana from Ukraine.
The biggest cheers of the night went to Moldova and Azerbaijan. And quite right too!
Anyway we're getting prepared for today's rehearsals, kicking off with those Balkan Girls from Romania. We'll keep you posted on how the day pans out.
Oh and we also found out who the hosts are. Model, Natalia Vodyanova and Russian TV-presenter Andrey Malakhov will host the two Semi-Finals. And Alsou (RU 2000) is presenting the Final with Ivan Urgant, who is, apparently "a media personality".
